How to Change Your Truth Social Password

Changing your password often is recommended, even if you don't think your account has been accessed without your authorization.

You can change your Truth Social password in your account settings.

You can also reset your Truth Social password if you've forgotten it.

Method 1

Change Your Truth Social Password on Desktop

1. Login to your Truth Social account. Open https://truthsocial.com/ in your web browser and sign in with your account, if you haven't already done so.

2. Click on the More option. You can see it in the left menu panel. When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear on your screen.

3. Click on Settings. This will open the settings page for your account.

4. Click the "Change your password" option in the menu on the left side of the Settings page under "Security".

5. Enter your current password. To change your password, you'll need to enter the password you're currently using first. If you don't know your password, see the resetting a Lost Password section below.

6. Enter the new password you want to use. You'll need to enter it twice to confirm it.

7. Click Save to save your new password. This will immediately apply your new password to your Truth Social account.

8. Sign back in on your other devices. Changing your password will sign you out of Truth Social on any other devices you are logged into. You'll need to enter your new password to sign back in. Your browser may have saved your old Truth Social password for easy login. You may have to enter your new Truth Social password the next time you are logged out of the website.

Method 2

Change Your Truth Social Password on Android

1. Tap the Menu button (≡) and select Settings. This will open the Settings menu for the Truth Social app.

2. Tap on the Account option.

3. Tap Password. You'll find this in the "Account" section at the top.

4. Enter your current password. You'll need to enter the password you are currently using to create a new password. If you don't know your password, see the resetting a Lost Password section below.

5. Enter your new password. You'll need to type it twice to verify that you typed it correctly.

6. Tap the Update password button to confirm the new password. Your new password will be applied immediately, and you'll be logged out of any other devices that you are currently logged into.

Method 3

Change Your Truth Social Password on iPhone

1. Open your iPhone's web browser and visit the Truth Social website. You cannot change your Truth Social password from within the Truth Social app on your iPhone. You'll need to use the Truth Social mobile site instead.

2. Log in to your Truth Social account. If you are trying to change your password because you can't remember it, see the resetting a Lost Password section below.

3. Tap the "Me" tab at the top. This will open your profile page.

4. Tap the Gear button beneath your profile picture. This will open a new menu.

5. Tap the "Security & Preferences" option. This will open your Account Settings page.

6. Scroll down and tap "Change password". This will open the password reset form.

7. Enter your current password. You'll need to enter your current password before you can change it. If you don't know your current password, see the "Resetting a Lost Password" section below.

8. Enter your new password. You'll need to enter this new password twice to verify it.

9. Tap "Save" to save your new password. Your new password will take effect immediately. You'll be signed out of any other devices that you are currently logged into.

10. Log in to the Truth Social app with your new password. After changing your password, you can open the Truth Social app and use it to log back in.

Method 4

Resetting a Lost Password

1. Click or tap the "Trouble login?" link on the login screen. If you don't know your Truth Social password, you can reset it from your computer or through the mobile app. Tap "Trouble login?" on the login screen to begin the reset process. You'll need to log out if you are already logged in.

2. Look up your account via email, username, or phone number. Enter one of these into the search field to look up your Truth Social account. You can only use a phone number if you've previously associated it with your account.

3. Select your password reset method. Truth Social offers two different ways to reset your password, but one is only available if you have a phone number associated with the account. You can have Truth Social text a code to your associated phone number, or you can have Truth Social email you a link to reset your password to the email address associated with the account.

If you no longer have access to your email account and don't have a mobile number associated with your account, there is no way for Truth Social to reset your password.

You'll need to regain access to your email account to reset your password.

4. Enter the code or follow the link to access the Reset Password screen. If you opted to have Truth Social text you, enter the code that you received to access the Reset Password screen. If you chose to have Truth Social email you, click the link in the email you received to access the Reset Password screen. This email may be in the "Updates" section of Gmail.

5. Enter a new password. You'll be able to create a new password for your Truth Social account. After creating your Truth Social password, you'll be logged out of all devices that you are currently logged into. Use your new password to log back in.
