Privacy Settings
1.
Understand
what protecting your Truths will do. Before you decide to protect your Truth Social account and Truths by making them private, be sure that you understand
what it entails. Once you make your Truths private:
·
Other users
will need to make a request to follow you, and you will need to approve all
requests.
·
Your Truths
will only be visible to approved followers.
·
Other users
will be unable to reTruth you.
·
Your Truths
will not appear in any Google searches, and will only appear in Truth Social
searches conducted by your approved followers.
·
Your Truth
Social profile will only show your name, profile picture, and bio.
·
Any
@replies you send will not be seen unless you send them to your approved
followers. For example, if you Truth a celebrity they will not be able to see
it, as you have not approved them to follow you.
·
Anything
you post a Truth while your account is public will now become private, and
will only be viewable or searchable by your approved followers.
·
You will
only be able to share permanent links to your Truths with your approved
followers.
2.
to your Truth Social account with your username and password.
3.
Click
on the More option. It's located on the left menu panel. A drop-down menu will display on your screen when you click it. This can be found in the menu panel on the left.
4.
Click
on Settings and the privacy option.
This will open the Settings page for your account.
5.
Select
the Account information option from the “Your Account” settings. Click here to quickly access the page.
6.
Click
on the Protected Truths option.
It will be the fifth option on the list.
7.
Check
the “Protect your Truths” box to make your account private. A confirmation box will pop up on
your screen.
8.
Click
on Protect to apply your changes. Going
forward, all of the Truths you publish will be protected, and will only be seen
by your current Truth Social followers.
9.
Unprotect
your Truths. If you
wish to reverse the process and make your Truths public again, all you need to
do is uncheck the "Protect your Truths" box.
·
Be aware
that any protected Truths you published while your account was private will now
become public and will be visible to and searchable by anyone.
· You will also need to review any pending follower requests before you switch your account back to the public, as they will not be accepted automatically. Those users will have to follow you again if you don't do this.

Request Screening
1.
Go to
your home page.
2.
Check
for new follower requests. If a
Truth Social user sends you a follower request, a large button on the left
sidebar will indicate that you need to review X number of follower requests.
·
You will
also be sent an email notification to alert you that you have a new follower
request.
3. Review your follower requests. Click on the new follower request button to review the profiles of your prospective followers. You will have the ability to see each user's Truth Social username, profile photo, and a link to their Truth Social profile.
4. Accept or decline your follower requests by clicking the "Approve" or "Decline" buttons. Users that you decline will not be notified. Users that you accept will now be able to read and search for your Truths, but they will be unable to reTruth them (as their followers do not have permission to view your Truths.)
